As part of our commitment to quality and continual improvement, iomart will be carrying out maintenance on Tuesday, 18th March 2025. This work will involve updating the Forward Error Correction (FEC) settings between our Cisco ACI fabric and Dell MX7000 Chassis to the recommended configuration.

What will happen? The iomart networking team will update the FEC encoding on the physical interfaces connecting the Dell MX7000 Chassis and the Cisco ACI network. The network interfaces will temporarily go down and come back online after the FEC type has been updated on both ends of the links.

When will the work be carried out? The maintenance work will commence at 22:00 GMT on Tuesday 18th March 2025 and last until 23:59 GMT on Tuesday 18th March 2025.

Who will be completing the work? All updates will be carried out by our iomart network engineering team.

Will I experience downtime? Yes, customers may experience a brief network disruption of up to 1 minute while the FEC type is changed between 22:00 and 23:59 GMT.
